JAM: 3 Friends Making a Difference

Julia + Ann + Mandy = JAM

The Jammie Mission: To empower, uplift and make a difference in our local communities, by raising funds, awareness and support for local charities and good causes, inspiring actions together, with passion, understanding and kindness.

We volunteer our time and energy to help charities and good causes, primarily based here in Northampton. We fundraise for them, help out and raise awareness of the groups through our chats. We run a Jammie Networking session for charities/good causes every 3 months. It can get a bit crazy sometimes but we love every minute of it! To date we have raised over £40,000 for charities/good causes and could not have done it without so much help and support from local businesses and individuals.

We have a monthly newsletter now, thanks to a lovely supporter called Ella. It’s short and sweet, just tap the link to sign up: Sign up to the newsletter

If you would like to meet up in person call us on 07887 535112 to arrange a time, or email us on jamhelpingout@mail.com. We love to hear what everyone is doing to help our communities, to talk ideas for fundraisers, collaborate on ideas and generally chat about how we can help.

Current projects & how you can help

The next Jammie Networking will be on Wednesday 16th September, at Northamptonshire Music & Performing Arts Trust (NMPAT) 12pm – 2pm. Please tap here to book your place, its £5 p/p that will be going to Northamptonshire Domestic Abuse Service to support their 50 years celebrations and their aim to raise £50,000 by the end of the year.

Jenny Lane of the new Workbridge is setting up the Bridge Boutique that will be selling high end clothing, shoes & accessories. If you have anything suitable please make contact with Jenny by email at jenny@workbridge.org.uk – 60% of sale to you, 40% to Workbridge.

We are working with NMPAT on a plan to bring our local community choirs together in April 2027, at NMPAT’s space on the Kettering Road in Northampton – to meet each other, share stories and sing. If you are a small community choir and have not been in contact with us please drop us an email so we can make sure you get all the news as it comes in.

* If you would like to VOLUNTEER some of your time to a local charity but you are not sure where to start, drop us a message and we will point you in the right direction.
* If you would like to FUNDRAISE for a local group and need some help pleas
e just drop us a message.

We are always collecting – Crafty bits & pieces, food, clothes and household items that we can deliver to the community groups we know. Any unwanted gifts that can be used for tombolas or raffles is always appreciated too. Drop us a message if you have ANYTHING that you no longer need but that could move on to someone else.

It’s not just about raising money for a charity, we want to raise awareness of them too and help in what ever way we can – we’ve ‘mucked in’ on all sorts of projects! Most recently we helped Enfold move offices and Sports 4 Fitness at their Disability Fun Day. We’ve also organised a room that was overflowing with donations for Community Spaces Northampton, made sense of a room at Baby Basics, planted vegetables at The Hope Centre allotment, served & washed up at GTN community lunches, organised Christmas present collections for Spring Charity Venture, run the raffle at IWD events held at Delapre Abbey and Holdenby House, sorted through toy and clothes donations at Spencer Contact and done the signing in at a village dog show. We’re always happy to roll up our sleeves and help get things done, so, if we can help you just drop us a message.

Be a JAMMIE Hero

“Jammie Heroes” wanted 🙂

We can’t do what we do without help from lots of lovely businesses and individuals here in Northamptonshire. Please tap on the photos of our current JAMMIE Heroes to find out more about them 🙂

Local businesses (or not so local we don’t mind) can sponsor our events, donate towards a raffle, spread the word of an event, offer us a venue, or collaborate with us on an idea – big or small, we welcome it all :-). In exchange we will shout out for you on our social media platforms.

To be added to our gallery of Jammie Heroes all we ask is that you are happy for us to make contact with you whenever we start planning a fundraiser or just need some help with something. You can say “Yes’ or “Not this time” 🙂

If you want to chat more about this please get in touch 🙂
