Julia + Ann + Mandy = JAM
We now have a Mission Statement ~ huge thankyou to Jacqueline Day for working with us on this :-)
Our Jammie Mission is to empower, uplift and make a difference in our local communities, by raising funds, awareness and support for local charities and good causes, inspiring actions together, with passion, understanding and kindness.
Back in 2020 we, Julia (Harris), Ann (Brebner) and Mandy (Lagden) put our names together and made JAM :-)
We give our time and energy to help charities and good causes, primarily based here in Northampton. We fundraise for them, help out where needed and raise awareness of the charities through social media. We also run a Jammie Networking session for charities/good causes every 3 months. We fit in everything we do around a business and family responsibilities so it can get a bit crazy sometimes but we love every minute of it! To date we have raised over £30,000 for charities/good causes and could not have done it without so much help and support from local businesses. We are extremely lucky to have met so many AMAZING people along our way.
Tap here to read about some of the things we have got up to since we started in 2020 .. there’s photos and links to everyone that has been involved :-)
Our Jammie HQ is in the office of Ann’s business Orchard Home Cleaning Ltd on Collingtree Road – if you would like to pop in call us on 07887 535112 to arrange a time, or email us on jamhelpingout@mail.com. We love to hear what everyone is doing to help our communities, to talk ideas for fundraisers, collaborate on ideas and generally chat about how we can help.
Current projects & how you can help
JAMMIE Networking – Every 3 months we host a very informal (free) networking session for charities/good causes. Our last one was on 19th March at at SCCYC. There were 19 of us in the circle and it was a success as always. All talk is as a group and there were plenty of suggestions, contacts and ideas shared. Our next meeting is on Wednesday 21st May, the venue is still being confirmed, once all is fixed we will share an Eventbrite link to book your seat.
Small Charity Week, June 23rd – 27th – On Friday 27th June we are organising a day event in The Gatherings in The Grosvenor Centre for Northampton charities. This will be a chance for groups to spread the word of what they do and raise some money for themselves. We will share information on this as we go along. If you are interested in being a part of it please drop us a message. At them moment we have 13 groups that have expressed an interest, we think 15 may be the limit.
The #JAMMIE400 – This is a new bit of fun for 2025, we choose 1 charity and raise at least £400 through 1 month. February was our first month and we raised £601 for The Seddon Legacy Project that supports children through bereavement. In April we will be raising for The Doddridge Centre, more info to come.
The Twilight Walk for Cynthia Spencer Hospice – We have just signed up to this walk on Saturday 10th May. You can walk 5km or 10km, it starts at 7.30pm and if you sign up as an early bird it will cost you £15. This is the link you need: https://cynthiaspencer.org.uk/twilight-walk-2/
Let us know if you decide to do it, would be great to do as a group … we may be dressed as strawberries! LOL :-)
We are always collecting – Craft bits and pieces for The Spring Charity, cardboard boxes and packaging for Spencer Contact, food, clothes and household items that we can deliver to the community groups we know, any items that can be used for craft activities and unwanted gifts that we can use for tombolas or raffles. Please drop anything you want to rehome to JAMMIE HQ on Collingwood Road (message/call us first please) or we may be able to pick up depending on where you are.

It’s not just about raising money for a charity, we want to raise awareness of them too and help in what ever way we can – we’ve ‘mucked in’ on all sorts of projects! We’ve organised a room that was overflowing with donations for Community Spaces Northampton, planted vegetables at The Hope Centre allotment, served & washed up at GTN community lunches, organised Christmas present collections for Spring Charity Venture, run the raffle at IWD events held at Delapre Abbey and Holdenby House, sorted through toy and clothes donations at Spencer Contact and done the signing in at a village dog show. We’re always happy to roll up our sleeves and help get things done, so, if we can help you just drop us a message.

“Jammie Supporters” wanted :-)
We can’t do what we do without help from lots of lovely businesses and individuals here in Northamptonshire. Please tap on the photos of our current JAMMIE Supporters to find out more about them :-)
Local businesses (or not so local we don’t mind) can sponsor our events, donate towards a raffle, spread the word of an event, offer us a venue, or collaborate with us on an idea.
To be added to our gallery of Jammie Supporters all we ask is that you are happy for us to make contact with you whenever we start planning a fundraiser or just need some help with something.
You can say “Yes’ or “Not this time”.
If you want to chat more about this please get in touch :-)
